OBJECTIVES: The Revista de Derecho de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (also cited as RDPUCV.) aims at disseminating original and unpublished articles of dogmatic, legislative, institutional and comparative research on all branches of the Law. Likewise, this journal publishes works on Philosophy, Theory and History of Law, on History of the juridical-political thinking and on Philosophy or Theory juridical-political; in all cases, even if these have been papers presented at scientific congresses. It also receives reviews of the state of the art and comprehensive reviews of bibliographies and judicial practices on condition that, in all cases, they offer a critical perspective and a constructive-dogmatic character.

The Journal does not publish solely sociological, historical or philosophical works; neither does it publish merely dissemination, talks, conferences not remake under article form, essays ("reflections", "considerations", "notes," etc.) or lege ferenda proposals.

The Journal does not foresee a section on reviews of particular books.

SCOPE OF GENERAL TOPICS: European Law, Latin American Law, Chilean Law, Public Law, Private Law, Comparative Law, Canonical Law, Philosophy of Law, History of Law, History of Juridical Thinking, History of Political Thinking, Juridical and Political Philosophy, Juridical an Political Theory.

AUDIENCE: The Journal particularly addresses professors and researchers whose areas are the juridical sciences, both professionals and students, and it also aspires to influence technical opinions of judges and lawyers and, in general, of those who are called to apply the law.

PUBLICATION PERIOD: The Journal is published biannually. The volume of the first semester is available beginning July 15 for the year, and the second semester, from January 15 next year.

MANAGERS: The Journal is under the scientific care of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso School of Law, Chile. Its production, graphic design and commercial management are under Ediciones Universitarias de Valparaíso. The respective addresses are indicated below.

COLLABORATIONS: Collaborators to the Journal should adhere to the "Guidelines on Writing" and to the "Acronyms and abbreviations" included in each volume.
